The Chicken or the Omelet is headed to Boston! Hopefully this opportunity will bring this blog closer to its original intent: how to make simple delicious meals on the salary of a recent graduate with an entry level job.
I believe it is important to be an ethical eater. Not only are sustainable and organic foods better for the environment, they are much healthier food choices for us as well. Unfortunately, these foods are often more expensive than their mass produced and processed counterparts. The second goal of this blog will be trying to juggle environmentally conscience food choices with a low budget.
Going to Boston also means moving into a tiny apartment without a food processor, kitchen aid stand mixer or dishwasher, but with two fantastic roommates who don't complain when I make yet another batch of cookies. Each meal will be an adventure, and I prefer it this way. Everything will be mixed and chopped by hand. The stove will be overcrowded, and the salad might be served in a pot. And in the end, there will be a huge pile of dishes in the sink. It will be messy and crowded; it will be awesome and fun. I can't wait.
